Yes, it does have something to do with the Brewers not being good until the current core (Fielder, Braun, Weeks, Yo, Hart) came of age. Do you remember the 2008 Brewers going 15-5 on the year against St. Louis, and the Cardinals bitching about the Crew untucking their shirts after the last out in a win (a tribute to veteran CF Mike Cameron’s dad who would untuck his shirt after a long day’s work well done)? Three seasons later, this is even more Prince Fielder’s team. He loves to compete, and he loves to have fun. Which is why I sympathized with our rival Reds’ Brandon Phillps during the home stretch last year: “I hate the Cardinals. All they do is bitch and moan about everything, all of them, they’re little bitches, all of ‘em. I really hate the Cardinals. Compared to the Cardinals, I love the Chicago Cubs. Let me make this clear - I hate the Cardinals.” Real True Blue Brew Crew fans are starting to see something special coming together. People hated on Aaron Rodgers championship belt celebration. But then he won the championship.
